Knee socks can be many things -- from bland to quite colorful. I like them when they are colorful and fun.

I judge potential best knee socks on durability, cool looks, and just how "green" are the materials that go into them. Durability may vary, as some people will be tougher on knee socks than others. Basically, you want your knee socks to last -- no doubt! You also want fun knee socks. I like knee socks in a range of funky patterns and a wide color wheel. We should have a lot of fun when we are wearing knee socks, IMO. And it is my experienced opinion that knee socks (all socks, too) need to be made of eco-friendly materials as much as possible.
